MotorSport Revolution Launching In Full Tomorrow

VRFocus - For the past few months virtual reality (VR) fans have been able to enjoy a pre-release version of VR compatible racing title, MotorSport Revolution. Indie studio Ghost Machine launched the title through Steam Early Access, offering fans an early glimpse of what to expect in the full version. Said version will be arriving in the very near future as the developer has announced a full launch on 15th January 2015. As with the Early Access release MotorSport Revoltuion will feature support for the Oculus Rift head-mounted display (HMD).

VRFocus-Sony Computer Entertainment (SCE) is taking a cautious approach to the Project Morpheus virtual reality (VR) head-mounted display (HMD) for PlayStation 4. Despite a successful reveal earlier in the year, the company remains tight-lipped on when and even if the device will release, as well as providing details on any updated prototypes. 2014 was ultimately a quiet year for the kit, then, with the Oculus Rift PC HMD undeniably continuing to lead the charge for the VR industry. Hopefully 2015 is the year that SCE pushes Project Morpheus with new details and announcements. That said, you might be able to guess what some of those reveals will be already.

VRFocus-With the 2015 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) now over its time to focus on some virtual reality (VR) technology that didnt make it to the show. Last weekend saw Catopsys launch a Kickstarter crowd-funding campaign for a new platform named Immersis. The company labels the tech as virtual reality (VR) without the need for a head-mounted display (HMD) unlike the Oculus Rift or Project Morpheus. The campaign is hoping to raise $100,000 USD by 18th February 2015 and, at the time of writing, is already well on its way to reaching the half way mark.
